New York Giants linebacker Dan Connor has allegedly been arrested for traveling with a switchblade knife at Philadelphia International Airport.

The 27-year-old Connor signed with the Giants this March. He played last season with the Dallas Cowboys after playing his first four NFL seasons with the Carolina Panthers, who selected him out of Penn State in the third-round of the 2008 NFL draft. His best season came in 2011 for the Panthers when he combined for 75 tackles.

Philadelphia TV station WPVI reported that Connor, who grew up in the Philadelphia community, was arrested at 9 a.m. on Saturday when a TSA agent first saw the knife in an x-ray machine and notified Philadelphia Police.

Connor was indicted with possession of an offensive weapon according to NBCPhiladelphia.com.

Eventually, he was later discharged on his own recognizance.
